A Forum for PUG
At the AGM it was agreed that we should take up the offer from British-Genealogy of a free (private) forum for PUG members. Some PUG members may find a forum more convenient than the PUG-L email list but please note that the forum will only really work if there are members answering questions and well as members asking questions. Neither Murray nor Colin are under any obligation to participate in the forum.
You can browse the PUG forum without registering with, and logging in to, the British-Genealogy server but you will need to provide the private password for the PUG forum (that will be initially distributed via PUG-L and will later appear in the Newsletter). To find the forum, visit http://www.british-genealogy.com/forums/ and scroll down.
To participate in the forum you must register with British Genealogy: http://www.british-genealogy.com/forums/ You will also need to input the private password for the PUG forum.
Of course, there are many other forums on the British Genealogy site that you may find useful. Enjoy!
The AGM also agreed that, unless there was evidence of significant use, the exprimental PUG chatroom could be closed down after Christmas. I’m not aware of any significant use of the chatroom so, unless someone puts forward a convincing reason to continue it, I will close it down in the New Year.
Malcolm.
